For our client, a large manufacturing company, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Automation Engineer.

This is a greenfield investment with capital from the United States. The company is a pioneer in the European market, and the newly established production hall offers great opportunities for development and advancement. A significant advantage is the brand-new machinery park, working with new production technologies, and the possibility of undergoing various development trainings, including in the United States. The company is located near the Górnośląski Industrial District Bypass, which leads to the A1 motorway located 1.5 km away.

Responsibilities for the position include:

  • Commissioning of new machinery.
  • Contacting manufacturers for the commissioning, connection, and programming of machines.
  • Designing, programming, and maintenance of industrial automation systems, including PLC controllers, operator panels, and monitoring and control systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in automation systems and production machinery.
  • Optimization of production processes by introducing technological innovations and improvements in automation systems.
  • Collaboration with the engineering team and production to ensure the effective operation of automation systems.
  • Technical documentation, reporting of activities, and keeping records of work performed.
  • Training production personnel in the operation and basics of diagnosing automation systems.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies in industrial automation.
  • Implementing procedures related to occupational safety and compliance with industrial standards and regulations.
  • Working in developing structures, at the factory construction stage in PL. Requires commitment, experimentation to determine what works and what does not, consultation with the USA or machine manufacturers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machine Automation Engineer in a manufacturing company, preferably in new machine startups.
  • Education: Automation Engineer, Mechatronics.
  • Ability to read technical documentation.
  • Ability to install, operate, and maintain technical equipment.
  • English language proficiency – mandatory communicative (min B2) both orally and in writing.
  • Computer systems, MS Excel.
  • Open-minded person, interested in new technology, machinery, determined to achieve goals and development, curious about the world.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment.
  • Observant, resilient, patient, accurate, responsible individuals with the ability to focus and work at a fast pace, as well as the ability to work in a team.
