HR Coffee Break: Impact of Asian Culture on Business
On April 19, 2024, in Katowice, the company Smart Solutions hosted an HR Coffee Break. The main topic of the meeting was the influence of Asian culture on Polish business.
Opening the event was Agnieszka Kolanowska, General Manager of Smart Solutions Polska. The invited experts included Dominika Stachura, Human Resources Business Partner at Kwangjin Poland Sp. z o.o., Tetiana Skachko, managing partner of Smart Solutions in Central Asia, and Aleksandra Wanat, Director of Development and Vice President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, of which Smart Solutions is a member.
During the event, the invited guests shared their experiences of working with employees of Asian origin, particularly regarding their employment and adaptation in Poland, cultural peculiarities of recruiting in Central Asia, and the management structure typical of these regions.
Participants of the HR Coffee Break learned about effective strategies for integrating employees in managing cultural diversity, whether work-life balance is adhered to in Central Asia, and whether there are gender equality issues in this region.
Special attention was given to the panel discussion, which involved Smart Solutions experts Agnieszka Kolanowska, Oleksandr Gaiduk, and Grażyna Pogan. During the discussion, topics such as the legalization of foreigners in Poland and the benefits of their employment in the Polish labor market were discussed.
A highlight of the event was a business card contest, the presentation of gift sets for growing plants as a symbol of fruitful cooperation, and the tasting of Asian dishes.
