Smart Solutions at the European Congress
On October 29-30, the European Congress took place in Katowice, where Smart Solutions participated in the panel discussion “Small or Global: Polish Companies in the International Market – Sharing Experiences.” Additionally, the company joined the Job Fair and a new project by IRC – Job Cafe, where our experts shared insights on taking initial steps in the Polish job market and offered advice on navigating a new professional environment.
Agnieszka Kolanowska, Strategic Partnership Manager at Smart Solutions HR, spoke about the company’s expansion journey, particularly in entering international markets. She highlighted that Smart Solutions’ key strategy in Poland has been centered on cultural diversity and inclusivity. The biggest challenge for the company has been adapting to diverse laws and regulations in each country. Recruitment processes, hiring practices, and cultural nuances required careful planning and significant dedication. However, swift adaptation to changes and involving legal experts in each region helped ease this process and allowed for efficient alignment with various requirements.
“We understood that a single operational model doesn’t fit every country. That’s why we engaged specialists from local markets who truly understand the needs of the people there. We’ve heavily invested in developing our team’s intercultural competencies to better collaborate across countries. Our main priorities have been flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to local conditions,” – Agnieszka Kolanowska emphasized in her speech.
During the Business Expo Fair, our team participated in the Work for All area, where we actively advised visitors on employment, open positions, and partnership opportunities. Smart Solutions experts provided information on job opportunities for Ukrainians and other foreign nationals seeking work in Poland. Visitors received answers to questions about the employment legalization process, current labor market trends, and candidate requirements. Through our participation in Work for All, we not only helped people find jobs but also expanded our partner network for long-term cooperation. This was a valuable experience that allowed us to gain a better understanding of market needs and strengthen our position as a trusted employer and partner.
As part of the Job Cafe, Lidiya Betts gave valuable advice to foreigners on the essential first steps to take in the Polish job market and how to navigate a new professional environment. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional LinkedIn profile as a tool for building a personal brand and developing professional connections. Lidiya noted that a well-curated profile can open new opportunities for both candidates and potential partners.
Participating in the European Congress and Job Fair in Katowice provided Smart Solutions with invaluable experience that reinforced our position as a trusted employer and partner. We continue to work actively on integrating new specialists and expanding our business in Europe, focusing on cultural diversity, innovative approaches, and openness to collaboration.
